St.John Payne Catholic School, Chelmsford, Essex

Comar Architectural Aluminium Systems, with their approved fabricator Anglia Fixing Ltd; completed work on a complete facade refurbishment project for the very popular and heavily oversubscribed Saint John Payne Catholic School which has a reputation for academic excellence. A mixed Roman Catholic voluntary aided school located in Chelmsford, Essex, established in 1959, the school serves the mid Essex deanery in the Diocese of Brentwood and provides over 1250 student places for ages 11-18.

The project was completed using Comar 5P.i ECO windows. The Comar 5P.i window system uses trademarked Polyamide Insulated (P.i) that provides exceptional thermal performance in a market where energy efficient designs and meeting the demands of the latest building regulations are paramount. All configurations, such as casement, top swing reversible, pivot, tilt and turn and sliding can be manufactured. These windows offer outstanding weather performance and reduce heat loss through the trademark P.i thermal break ensuring low U-values so energy bills are minimised. Comar 5P.i ECO is a casement window system which includes a 55mm and 75mm option.

Comar 9P.i High Performance Window, Doors & Framing, offers a truly integrated solution with low U-values and fast-track fabrication & installation. Comar 9P.i is a 80mm, 100mm, 120mm mitre or ladder frame system and exceeds the requirements of BS 6375, achieving 600Pa Air, 600Pa Water at 2400Pa Resistance to Wind Load.

All Comar approved fabricators are required to have the technical expertise to attend pre-site meetings and provide detailing. Anglia Fixing liaised closely with the specifiers to provide design advice and detailing which ensured the project ran smoothly and met site deadlines.
