Crittall™ Window Homelight™ Window Range
Crittall Windows is a long established company and household name, and has been producing steel windows since the late 19th century. The Homelight™ Range evolved in the 1920's, with the same sizes and styles still being made today, but with much improved performance features such as galvanising, weatherstripping, inclusion of double glazed units for added thermal performance and polyester powder coating finishes.
Steel windows cannot be replicated by aluminium, timber or plastic due to the fact that steel is a very strong material and hence the frame of the window can be a lot more slender than the alternatives, thus maximising daylight by incorporating greater areas of glazing.
Security of the frame is most important when deterring break-ins and this again is down to the fact that steel is three times stronger than aluminium. The Homelight™ range delivers secure windows and doors with options such as locking handles and bolts as added security.
The Homelight™ Range is suitable for both refurbishment and new build, and is manufactured in standard metric sizes which replicate the imperial measurements of the original Crittall Windows.
Downloadable brochures, standard Homelight™ types, fixing instructions and NBS specifications are available in our Brochures section.
The range is wide and varied, but comprises of basic styles:
